A truck with a blade is useful information. A truck with a blade, a named operator, a realistic travel range and a clear availability window is a much better starting point for a winter-work conversation.

PlowWow’s current contractor application gives operators a place to describe that capacity. For a Chilliwack business, the useful task is to explain what can actually be offered alongside existing commitments. An application registers interest for review. It does not reserve work, set a pay rate or establish a new service territory.

What the public form currently asks for

The form requests business and contact details, base location, available worker count, coverage area and travel radius. It also asks about typical notice, availability and operating limits. Those are separate questions: being based in Chilliwack does not tell a reviewer whether you can travel for scheduled loader work or attend a short-notice walkway call.

Describe the practical boundary. If another route must be completed first, say so. If a machine needs a trailer, loading space or advance transport arrangements, include that limitation. Use the availability field to explain overnight support and the days or hours you can realistically offer. Do not replace those details with a promise to cover everywhere at once.

Equipment entries should describe the working setup

The current interface lets an applicant add equipment or crew entries. For powered equipment it asks for type, quantity, make, model and model year. A separate description can explain attachments, capacity, condition or tools. Hand-clearing crews have a different requirement: describe the tools and crew size rather than inventing a machine make or year.

The reason to be specific is operational. A truck, a loader and a hand crew solve different access problems. PlowWow still needs to review the proposed work before deciding which setup fits. Listing a machine does not establish that it is suitable for every property or that an assignment has been approved.

Photos help explain equipment; they are not credential uploads

Equipment photos are optional in the present form. The interface accepts up to three JPG, PNG or WebP images for each entry, with the stated per-file size limit shown beside the upload control. Use current images you are authorised to share, showing the unit and relevant attachment clearly.

Keep unrelated people, private client information and identity documents out of those images. A photo can help a reviewer understand the equipment description; it cannot independently establish insurance, ownership, safe operating practice or current availability. This article does not report a test application or confirm storage, review or inbox delivery for a particular submission.

Status information needs follow-up, not a badge

The application asks about liability insurance, vehicle or equipment coverage and WorkSafeBC or provincial WCB status. Answer accurately and explain anything that still needs confirmation. A selected status is a declaration for review, not an independent verification or an approval to start work.

When discussing an actual opportunity, confirm what supporting documents are required and how they should be provided. Do not put full policy files into an equipment-photo field. The review conversation should distinguish the applicant’s statement from the evidence needed for the specific work.

From a Chilliwack application to a defined opportunity

Imagine an operator with an existing local route and limited spare capacity for scheduled support. This is a hypothetical example, not a customer or recruited contractor. A useful application explains when the operator becomes available, what equipment can travel and what access or transport conditions apply. It does not assume emergency dispatch is already enabled.

Before accepting any assignment, confirm the site, scope, responsible contact, timing, rates and payment terms directly with PlowWow. Ask how changes and exceptions should be reported. An expression of interest is one stage; an agreed assignment is another.

Review the contractor application. For application questions or corrections, email wow@plowwow.com or call 604-761-1518. Property owners looking for service should use the separate estimate flow, rather than the contractor application.

What this guide does—and does not—demonstrate

This guide describes the public application interface and its current authored fields, reviewed October 28, 2026. We inspected the page without sending a test application. It is not evidence of an approved contractor dashboard, guaranteed assignments, automated dispatch or current work availability in Chilliwack.

Snow Intelligence remains first-year beta. Advanced scanning, augmented-reality overlays, automatic billing and bylaw tools remain planned or under evaluation unless separately demonstrated. The accompanying AI-generated promotional animation is brand artwork, not real Chilliwack footage or a demonstration of those features.

For a different side of the handover, see Abbotsford estimate sharing. Read the current beta explanation before assuming a feature is available for your property or business.
