Start with the accepted arrangement
A winter-work enquiry is the beginning of a conversation, not a guaranteed route or an instruction to attend a customer site. Confirm the role, accepted scope, operating requirements and contact process before preparing for dispatch.
PlowWow’s winter team can include shovelers, independent operators, subcontractors and snow-service companies. Service coordination and customer billing stay with PlowWow. The arrangement for a particular operator must be confirmed directly.
Know the site information you need
Ask how you will receive the current site plan, priority routes, access instructions and known restrictions. Identify the person who can clarify a location or approve a change. Keep private site instructions within the approved communication system.
Do not turn an incomplete address or an old screenshot into an improvised service plan. If essential information is missing, raise the question before arrival and record the answer through the agreed process.
Match the equipment to the accepted work
Describe the equipment you actually have, its condition and the work you are equipped and qualified to undertake. Be clear about attachments, transport and any limits affecting access or the proposed task.
A capacity claim should be based on the actual equipment and the accepted assignment. Do not assume that having a truck or machine automatically qualifies an operator for every property, surface or service request.
Agree what happens when conditions differ
Ask how to report an inaccessible area, an unfamiliar obstacle or a task outside the accepted scope. A clear report identifies the location, observation and decision needed without claiming work has been completed.
Keep records of the work actually performed and the instructions received. Confirm documentation, business and insurance requirements as part of onboarding; this article does not determine an operator’s eligibility or contractual obligations.
Apply with useful details
Tell PlowWow where you operate, your relevant experience, the equipment or role you are proposing and how you can be contacted. Keep claims specific and avoid listing equipment you do not control.
Use the PlowWow contractor application to start the conversation. For the communication side of route work, read the storm-shift handover guide. Joining the discussion does not promise work, earnings or a particular schedule.
