Start with the property, not a citywide price
A small strata walkway and a busy commercial parking lot are different jobs. Seasonal snow removal pricing starts with the surfaces being serviced, how the crew can reach them and where snow can be stored. An address helps us identify the area; it does not tell us the exact clearable square footage, the number of parked vehicles or the agreed service obligation.
What goes into your seasonal budget
The estimate needs crew time, suitable equipment, treatment material, allocated travel and readiness for winter. Local snowfall records help plan the workload, with elevated routes considered separately from lowlands. Snowfall days are not dispatch counts: a continuing storm may require repeat passes, while a snow-free day can still require ice treatment. Seasonal readiness and backup capacity still have a cost in a mild winter.
One simple model, with the work explained
Our working pricing model gives a combined snow-and-salt visit one allowance and an additional salt-only visit half that allowance. Seasonal planning combines the reviewed clearing workload with those extra treatments. This is a way to explain the calculation, not a universal published tariff. The accepted quote must state the actual package, service dates, triggers, treatment areas and any limits.
What is included—and what needs another price
The agreed common walkway scope includes stairs and landings along those routes. Individual-unit paths and stairs, parkade ramps and other extras require specific agreement. Routine pushing into agreed on-site storage is different from relocating piles, loading trucks or hauling snow away. Those services need a separate scope and current equipment, transport and disposal pricing.
