Back for another winter at Wilson Medical

Wilson Medical in Downtown Port Coquitlam has renewed its snow and ice service for the 2026–27 season. We’re pleased to continue the relationship and bring PlowWow’s medical-office winter-service experience back to this Wilson Avenue property through our service coordination with JLS Master Gardeners.

A medical appointment starts before somebody reaches the reception desk. It starts when they step out of a vehicle, leave the sidewalk or approach the building entrance. Our job is to plan the agreed snow-clearing and salting work around those connections, with the property’s needs and service boundaries clearly understood.

Downtown PoCo: follow the route from parking to the door

Wilson Medical is in Downtown Port Coquitlam, often called Downtown PoCo. The Wilson Avenue setting is part of a walkable city centre where parking, sidewalks, drop-offs and building entrances meet. That makes the transition between surfaces a useful place to start a winter site review.

The property’s supplied site plan has helped identify its snow-removal areas and pathways. That matters: a phrase such as “clear the parking lot” does not tell a crew everything about the path a patient or member of staff actually uses. A workable brief needs the included pedestrian connections as well as vehicle circulation.

For this renewed season, the written service scope remains the reference for the team and the property contact. A clear plan identifies the building’s own service areas and the connections between them.

Medical-office snow removal experts look beyond the plow pass

Large open areas and narrow walking routes need different attention. At a medical-office property, we bring both into the planning conversation:

  • Parking-to-entrance connections: establish the included route between arrival areas and the building doors.
  • Curbs and crossings: identify the points where pedestrians and vehicles share or cross a route.
  • Entrance space: plan the included landings, steps and any ramp as part of the access sequence.
  • Snow storage: select workable placement areas without obstructing the agreed pedestrian routes.
  • Salting and changing conditions: discuss ice-control work separately from the physical removal of snow.

The route people use is the point of the work. A cleared vehicle lane is only one part of that conversation. Site information, the agreed sequence and communication with the property team help keep attention on the access that matters.

A familiar property, a freshly reviewed season

We appreciate being asked back. A renewed relationship lets the building’s contacts and our service team review the upcoming season with useful history behind the conversation. Changes to entrances, parking arrangements or operating patterns can be raised before they become a surprise during snowfall.

Winter conditions can also change after a visit. Rain, runoff, fresh accumulation and a later freeze all deserve attention. The seasonal agreement sets out the service arrangements; a direct report from the property contact helps explain where a developing issue needs review.

Our Snow Intelligence property-sign rollout is built around that direct connection. Building-specific QR lawn signs will make it easier to reach the right PlowWow property page and snow-team contact. We’re preparing the rollout across Metro Vancouver service properties, connecting the signs to the information for each building.
